The Director D2 allows connection of multiple USB connected storage devices and allows playback without the need for a laptop computer. The screen allows track selection functionality and show a waveform guide allowing quick break location.

The Numark D2 Director is a twin-deck rackmountable system designed for the playback of USB-based media. With support for MP3, Ogg Vorbis and AAC formats, the Director can access massive libraries of music from iPods, memory sticks, and external hard drives. The large display has softkeys, allowing intuitive access to music libraries and system options. The Director allows the user to create a master playlist, allowing access to several connected drives from one list of music.
