These JBL speakers are 'active' powered speakers. This allows a microphone/cd player/DJ mixer etc to be plugged directly into the speaker. A single 15" Eon is suitable for party/conference style event in ~ a 5mx5m room with up to 50 people a pair of 15" Eon should be used for event's with between 100 and 200 people, a pair of matching subwoofer speakers can be added to reinforce the bass sound where required. JBL EON15-G2 features 400 watts of bi-amplified power (300 watts for low frequencies and 100 watts for high frequencies). The EON15-G2 is at home as a main PA system for up to ~500 capacity or as a vocal or instrument monitor - Freq. Response (±3 dB) 42 Hz - 17 kHz
